My Opinion
Driven by my fandom for Immortal Romance, I had explored the whole Stormcraft library in detail, including getting familiar with the Fortunium slot. I have played it for fun many times before. Here’s what I think about it.
For Fans of Stories
Fortunium has characters and a story. As such, it is not a simple spin-the-reels game but one that engages on a deeper level. It's like other story-driven titles in the industry, such as Gonzo’s Quest, Tomb Rider, and more.
The Mystery Symbol Mechanic
I really loved how I was kept in the dark about what I would get with every mystery symbol. This built the thrill. The expanding wilds were precious, of course, linking up the whole grid. I used the Booster often, receiving 50% more high symbols and wilds. I also loved the retriggerable free spins round, which started with up to three mystery reels. I could extend it simply — with one scatter — like in Scatters Matter.
All in all, I think Fortunium is a really fun slot game. It doesn’t have the serious winning potential of some other online games, but it delivers on almost every other front.
Alternatives
For bigger winning potential, the best game to play is Wanted Dead or a Wild (12,000 max win). The other weakness is the lack of multipliers, which you can correct by playing Jammin Jars. The demos of these games are available on SlotsSpot with no download and no registration.
