My Opinion
Having played the online slot game Sugar Rush, I immersed myself in the surreal sugary rush of Golden Gumballs. Below, I report to you how this online casino game felt and give you my verdict on its winning potential.
Initial Impressions
The two games are very similar on a surface level. I found Golden Gumballs to be more rewarding during the base game and to play for fun. It also had a deeper structure of bonuses and a bigger max win.
Mind-Spinning Number of Bonus Features
I enjoyed the Gumball mechanic, which surprised me with a different modifier, adding additional thrills to every spin. I could practically guarantee a coin every spin via the Gumball Boost feature, but I must admit the feature was a bit expensive at $5 per bet. At least, the scatter boost was the same price as in Sugar Rush (25% cost).
Best Part: The Bonus Round
I loved the bonus round, too. However, I found it harder to land the four- and five-scatter options with the expanded grid from a normal spin. I regularly used the Bonus Buy to trigger them, even though they were costlier (Super Candy — 150x, Ultra Candy — 500x) than Le Viking’s higher bonus rounds (Berserk — 100x, Ragnarok — 300x). They were worth it, though, as I won $2,346 from it once.
Alternatives to Golden Gumballs
Play Sugar Rush if you want a slot with more focus on multipliers accessible via the base game and a profitable free spins round. Another alternative path for you is Jammin Jars, which keeps the buzzing excitement but offers a bigger max win (20,000x).
