My Opinion
I used my experience from Bloodaxe, a similarly set-up online casino slot that I’ve played a lot for fun, to evaluate Everest. Below, you can find out my thoughts about this online game.
Avalanche Mechanic and Expanding Reels
I liked the grid’s potential to expand to 5x10 as I strung together winning spins. The avalanche setup was better than in Gonzo’s Quest in my view, because of the two types of wilds: avalanche and climbing. Both gave me multipliers, with the former affecting the whole reel and rewarding me up to 4x.
Multiple Gamble Features
This slot takes it a step beyond Legacy of Dead, offering more Gamble features. The Fortune Cart, which got triggered if I won more than a certain threshold, promised to multiply my earnings up to 1,800x. The Bonus Wheel feature was like in Bloodaxe, and I regularly received free spins from it. It also gave me multipliers of up to 5,000x.
The free spins round was harder to trigger than in DogFather (1 in 76), but I could speed up the process with the collected coins from ‘Game of Fortune’. The round was the best game element, but I found it less generous than in Immortal Romance and Thunderstruck 2.
Overall, I found Everest’s graphics and bonus feature depth satisfying — a solid addition to modern video slots.
Everest Alternatives
At the cost of a slight graphics downgrade, Mighty Mountain is a decent alternative, but with a lower RTP than Everest — 94.22%. Another option is 9k Yeti, which awards even more spins, up to 88.
