My Opinion
I have played Bloodaxe for fun since its launch because I like Viking games and have come to know it intimately. I will explain to you what I love about it and what I don’t.
The Atmosphere
While the slot game trails behind Wanted Dead or a Wild in terms of graphics, the ballsy music and animated backdrop create an equally engaging experience. I think this is one of the best elements of the game.
Wildcard Features
I liked that this online casino game is packed with wildcard features. I could spend coins and money to trigger them. The bonus wheel always gave me a chance to start the free spins round or get multipliers of up to 5,000x. The flying axes (wilds) stacked up. Collecting four axe throws gave me respins and sticky wilds, a profitable feature. Lastly, the Gamble mechanic played a huge role in the free spins round.
The Free Spins Round: True Pillage
Even though I found the free spins round more difficult to trigger than in Big Bass Bonanza, I could use the collected coins to start it from the ‘Game of Fortune’ feature. Once I was in it, I cherished the wilds because of the four extra spins at the end of each round, during which the aces turned into sticky wilds. The more I could extend the round via the Gamble feature, the bigger my profits became.
Alternatives to BloodAxe
Le Viking is a different interpretation of a Viking raid, with even more bonus features than Bloodaxe. If you want a simpler game in the same genre, play Viking Age by Betsoft.
