Hello Andre! Thank you for taking the time to talk to us here at Slotsspot! For readers new to Bullshark, what would you say the studio’s “signature” is, and how do you decide which mechanic becomes the star of a release?
Thanks for having me! At Bullshark Games, our signature is all about creating momentum in gameplay. We want each spin to feel like it’s building toward something. Whether it’s through progressive mechanics, escalating bonuses, or unpredictable win potential, our goal is to keep players engaged from the first spin to the last.
When it comes to deciding which mechanic takes the lead, it really starts with asking: what emotional journey do we want players to go on? Then we shape the mechanics to serve that purpose.
Bullshark seems to have a really diverse portfolio of games, but there’s definitely some similarities forming amongst some of your titles. Do you think you’ve started to find a winning formula, or is there still lots of room for experimentation with new slots?
We’ve definitely started to carve out a style. You’ll see recurring elements like progression, bold volatility, and strong character design. That said, we’re absolutely still experimenting. Each game is a chance to try something new, whether that’s a different theme, a fresh math model, or an unexpected twist on a well-known mechanic. The moment we stop exploring is the moment we stop growing.
What would you say your most successful releases have been over the last year, and what is that made those games so popular amongst players?
Age of Seth has been our biggest hit so far. It struck a great balance between volatility, progression, and visual appeal. Players loved the chaotic but rewarding nature of the bonus round, and the pacing just clicked.
That said, Valhalla: Wild Winter and Clover Club have also stood out. Both games deliver strong hit potential and share a similar structure in that sense, they’re punchy, fast-paced, and capable of delivering explosive wins, which makes them highly replayable. Players seem to respond really well to that balance of suspense and reward.
Looking towards new releases, what can you tell us about Belle and the Blade Hunter? It looks like a high-intensity slot with plenty of features and mechanics to get stuck into, would that be a fair assessment?
Absolutely. Belle and the Blade Hunter is a full-throttle release designed to keep the action moving at all times. The game uses a 5x4 layout with 20 paylines, but what really sets it apart is its combination of cell multipliers, sticky jumping wilds, and progressive mechanics during both respins and free spins.
It’s a high-volatility slot where wild symbols not only help complete wins but also boost the value of the cells they land on. During respins and the bonus round, those cell multipliers stick and build, creating more explosive win potential the longer you stay in the feature. Wilds bounce around the grid from spin to spin, and every new landing spot becomes a chance to amplify your win.
Coming up after this is Godly Gains, a divine cluster pays slot! Can you talk us through the creative process behind this one, and what we can look forward to with this one?
With Godly Gains, we wanted to put a fresh twist on the Greek gods theme. Instead of just retelling the classics, we imagined what these gods would look like in a more modern, gym-obsessed setting. That gave the art team a lot of room to have fun, and the gameplay reflects that energy. The cluster pays format really supports a snowball effect in wins, and we’ve added a few progressive touches that make each session feel unique.
We’re seeing a lot of bearded characters in your recent releases (Godly Gains, Paper Biker, Gem Monster and Charm of the Dragon)! Is the beard a Bullshark easter egg we can expect to see going forward?
Haha, you might be onto something! It wasn’t intentional at first, but once we noticed it, we definitely leaned into it a little. I guess we just like strong personalities, and a good beard goes a long way in character design. We’ll see if the tradition continues!
What’s next for Bullshark Games for the rest of 2025?
We’ve got a packed roadmap for the rest of 2025 with several standout titles still to come, each bringing something new to the table. Whether that’s a fresh mechanic, a bold theme, or a twist on one of our best-performing formats. We’re continuing to build on what’s worked while also pushing into new creative territory.
Looking ahead, we’re also deep into development for Q1 2026, and there are some really exciting concepts in the pipeline that we can’t wait to share. Let’s just say, if you’ve been enjoying our releases so far, you’re going to love what’s coming next.
