Gameplay and Prizes
Sweden is not a very large country, so all Gustavus Adolphus can propose as Jackpot is 40,000 Euros. Wasa is played on hugely common 5×3 reels with 15 adjustable paylines. As a base bet can be selected in range from 1 Eurocent up to 2 Euros, this means that total bet varies in a wide range between 1 Eurocent and 30 Euros.
Paying symbols are styled to remind of Wasa royal origins: an anchor, a rudder, a ship ropes, a sextant, a treasure map, a scepter, a globe crucifer and a royal crown can be found among them, with crown, of course, paying the most important role and an anchor paying the least. Lots of other royal symbols are present on the gamefield, including the portraits of Gustavus Adolphus and his wife on top corners of the screen.
Game graphics and animations in Wasa are amusing and very well quality-made. Every paying symbol has its own animation for cases when combinations are formed with it – anchors are submerged, scepters spin and so on. Even Gustavus Adolphus sometimes touches his mustache. An autoplay option is unavailable, too.
Features and Bonuses
There are three bonus symbols present in Wasa. First of them is a wild-card, pictured as a cannon, which can take place of any symbol in potentially winning combination.
The second one is a hemmer and saw, which, when combined by three, allows player to add one of five possible parts to Wasa ship. The third symbol is a bottle of champagne. When three champagnes are combined, a bonus rounds is triggered, where Wasa can start its journey out of the harbor.
As there are many dangers in the seas, an unmodified ship would quickly share the fate of its prototype. Certain modifications allow Wasa to handle certain situations, which gives the ship a chance to travel further. Players get a reward for each route part that Wasa travels without drowning.
