Fantasy-styled games enjoy their Golden Age nowadays. Huge titles like Dragon Age, Pillars of Eternity or the Witcher are released almost every year, they collect many gaming awards and bring their creators a lot of money. Despite different stories and game mechanics, all these games have the same root – the Dungeons and Dragons tabletop game, released in 1974 by Wizards of the Cost Company.
Unlike most other fantasy-themed games, which are mainly of RPG genre, Dragon’s Castle by ReelNRG is an online slots game that requires no download and no registration. So brave heroes can challenge the mighty Dragon and now they can win real money while doing it.
Gameplay and Prizes
A titular Dragon have hoarded as much as 200,000 pounds sterling in his Castle as a Jackpot. In order to claim it, brave heroes have to spin 5×3 reels with twelve customizable winning lines. The number of active paylines can be set to be any in range from one to twelve. While a base bet can be set in range from 1 penny to 50 pounds, this means that a total bet can be set from one penny to 1,000 pounds.
Paying symbols include cards from 10 to Ace, that are decorated as heraldic shields, shackles, a treasure chest, a spell book and a wizards orb that pays the most. Lava fields and a gloom castle can be seen on the game background, while a figure of an old gray-bearded wizard is standing to the left of the reels.
Game animations are smooth, but not as diverse and flashy as in most other most recent ReelNRG games, excluding random moments when the Wizard casts his spells or the Dragon enters the field and sets in on fire. However, this only helps to build the atmosphere of mysterious and dangerous, yet potentially very profitable quest.
There is the Auto Play feature in Dragon’s Castle, which is greatly tunable and allows to set not only the number of rotations, but also other stop conditions, including limits for amounts of win, lose and single win and stop on win or bonus win.
Features and Bonuses
There are two types of bonus symbols in Dragon’s Castle. First of them is Wizards Wild that, contrary to convenient wild symbols in most other games, appears only when the random event is triggered. When the event occurs, the Wizard cast the spell that replaces random symbols on the screen with Wizard Wilds that are then counted towards any potential winning combinations.
The second bonus symbol is a Dragon Scatter that, when collected in the amount of three, rewards the player with twice his or the bet and ten bonus rounds. In addition, there is a very interesting and profitable bonus in the game – at any spin, the Dragon can randomly appear and reward the player with a multiplier of up to x5, applied to a potential win.
When free spins are triggered, each round either the Wizard Wild or the Dragon Multiplier is applied, and the number of obtained wild cards is counted separately, which influences the total win.
