Dr. Enlarge-o Slot Review

Dr. Enlarge-o slot machine

As Arthur Clarke once said, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”. No wonder, that an image of scientist in the popular culture have long been undistinguishable from an image of a wizard. Both were usually portrayed as a person of age that mumbles strange and incomprehensible words, tends to forget most basic things and bends the rules of nature to his will.

However, as years passed, the more realistic approach to scientists image have started to prevail in the popular media – nowadays they are mostly shown as very smart, but otherwise regular people, just like it is done in the “The Big Bang Theory” TV series. However, an image of “Crazy Scientist” is still used sometimes – but mostly it is played for laughs. Dr. Enlarge-o, a slot game, developed by GreenTube, is a very fine example of how even old cliché can get new colors when used in the unexpected field. As science should improve life of all people in the world, this game needs no downloading and no registration too.

Gameplay and Prizes

Science tends to be underfinanced even in the developed countries, so Dr. Enlarge-o can only offer as much, as 75,000 dollars, that is just average by modern day online slot machines standards. In order to win it, players spin 5×3 reels. There are 25 adjustable paylines on the game field, and a base bet can be set in range from 1 to 500 dollars, and it means that total bet can be varied in wide range from 1 up to impressive 12,500 dollars.

The game field is drawn to represent the scientific laboratory, so different buttons and glass tubes can be seen all around the screen borders. The paying symbols include four suits of cards that are represented as being contained in jar with some liquid, weird scissors, bottled vapors, lab torch, robotic hand, a portrait of an assistant and a portrait of a titular Dr. Enlarge-o (who is, apparently, a PhD, not a M.D). All symbols are drawn in the funny comic-style manner that greatly adds to the crazy atmosphere. Dr. Enlarge-o contains the autoplay feature, but this feature can only be turned on or off.

Features and Bonuses

The bonuses in Dr. Enlarge-o are really uncommon and innovative, just as it should be expected from the science-themed game. First of all, any win offers the player with a choice – he/she can immediately collect all the money he/she has won, or gamble it in the “Guess the card color” mini game. It means that even most humble wins can be turned to really huge ones in this game.

There are scatter symbols that looks like a big electrode. They only appear on the first, third or fifth reels, and the grant player with 10 bonus rounds when collected. No further free spins can be won during these rounds. However, during each free spin, at least one wild monster appears.

These monsters can also appear during regular rounds. At first, they take one place on the reel, but when there is at least one monster on the game screen, the laser shots in the random direction as soon as reels stop. If any monster is hit by the laser beam, it starts exploding. After this, all symbols on the places that monsters occupy are turned to wild symbols. Just like any other slot game, wild symbols substitute for any paying symbol in any potentially winning combination.
